I am back tracking since we took off for Utah the day after Christmas. Here goes. We had a nice Christmas in California this year. Christmas morning we had fun unwrapping presents as fast as we would let them. Paige got the eyeclops, just what she wanted, along with a lot of other stuff! Seth got the geotrack set he wanted and Paige gave him a soccer table that was his favorite! Matt got a Redskins blanket and key caddy to keep all his stuff together every night. As you can see I got a pedicure set that we put to use that day giving each other pedicures. Nice! We had a Merry Christmas!

Rose Parade Floats
We drove out to Pasadena on January 2nd to see the Tournament of Roses floats. They line them up along 2 miles of streets and you can meander through and look at the floats up close. It was a beautiful day and the kids even got hot. We parked at the Rose Bowl and then took the shuttle (school bus) to the venue. The floats are amazing and you just can't believe that everything is made from flowers, trees, etc. The detail and textures were amazing! We saw the circus train, sesame street, Long Beach Aquarium, and the woman who lived in a shoe to name just a few. A few years ago we went a day before the parade and watched them putting the floats together. That was very cool too. The pictures don't do them justice, but take a look.

Disneyland Fun!
The kids had their last day of school yesterday, so we picked them up and drove to Disneyland for an evening trip. We had reservations at the Blue Bayou and then rode a few rides and watched the fireworks and the bubble snow. We had a great time, but the misty drizzle made everything a little wet. This made for fewer crowds! We walked on Autopia! We had umbrellas, so we did our driving while staying dry. A 3 minute wait for thunder mtn. Unfortunately Indiana Jones was still 40 minutes so we passed on that. It wasn't raining the whole time either, it was probably only 30 minutes of the whole night. The fireworks at the end were amazing. Icaught a little part of it on my camera. Wasn't that cool!! 4 days until Christmas, I'd better start wrapping :)

My new car! :(
Here is a picture of the back bumper of my new car. If you look closely you can see red and white marks all along the bottom. Some one rear ended me. I was sitting at a stop light and heard a screeching noise. I looked around to see what it was and then looked in my rear view mirror and saw smoke and a car coming at me. Luckily she was almost stopped when she bumped me and I was the only one in the car. But she hit my new car! (yes, I realize if this is the worst of my problems then life is good) I thought I would cry, be upset, but I wasn't. The lady was very nice and in my head I thought "now I get a new bumper!" This made me happy because the first 2 weeks I had the car 2 different people on 2 different sides of my back bumper, scratched it as they pulled out of a parking spot while I was inside the store, leaving no note! Now that did make me cry. mad and frustrated! So yes I got rear ended, but I get a shiny new bumper this week! (notice I didn't even have my license plates yet)

Sledding in California
We had a half day of school, the weather was beautiful, and the waves were supposed to be VERY big today, so we headed down to the beach with our sleds. Every winter they make big sand burms (?) in front of the buildings along the beach to keep the water from getting to them, but we see them as great sledding hills. (quite the opposite of Kendra's sledding) Today was perfect and in the 70's!! Happy December.
