Oh, The Luck of the Irish!

Seth had a great day! He worked really hard on a Lego village with his Dad and took it to school today to share. It was also St. Patrick's Day, always fun! And he lost his tooth! This is his first tooth lost. It should have been a bottom tooth, but he bumped this one more than a year ago, and it started getting really wiggly recently. When I picked him up from school, he had a big gap and a tooth necklace around his neck! Way to go Seth!

I was "making" dinner and Paige was watching TV when the B-A-R-B-I-E jingle came on. Towards the end I finally focused on what the commercial was about. I couldn't believe that Barbie was marketing such a product to little girls. And of course it is Totally Stylin!! Just another indicator of what the world has come to.

We have our puppy!!! She came a couple days earlier than I planned, but the kids were SO excited when I picked them up from school on Thursday and told them we were getting Sophie that afternoon! We were shooting for Valentine's day, but the owner had a dog show, so we were going to pick her up Friday evening after all the school Vday activities. Well, Thursday morning I went out to their house for a few last minute instructions, and found out that the husband was having surgery on his arm Friday morning. Since Sophie was the last puppy to leave, I asked if it would be easier on them if we picked her up that night!!! So I rushed around making sure we had everything and we picked her up!! She has been so good and just wants to play and cuddle. Seth is still learning that you don't have to be in her face all the time. And no accidents in the house yet, she has even gone to the back door to be let out to pee!! I'm hoping it stays that way. Wishful thinking :)

We decided on a name if you hadn't guessed by the last post. Her name is Sophie. We visited her again yesterday and I started getting nervous that we will be picking her up for good this week. It's been like preparing for a baby. Will I know how to do everything? Seth wanted to take her one of the toys we bought and he decided on the red ball. The puppies loved it, especially the black one, she would not let that go and tried to take it back from Sophie if she ever got her teeth on it. Very cute. 5 more days dog free!
