Things I love!

Fall 2005

I have been thinking of things that I love and would recommend to others, or just things I love. I can tell it's spring/summer because everyone's posts are getting fewer each week, and I am lazy about getting pictures off my camera and onto the computer to post. So when I feel like I need to post something but don't have any great words of wisdom or recipes (haha) I am going to tell you things I love. (if you care) This week of course it is my kids! I almost put something else, but that would make it look like they are second best. Well, Matt too. I'll say my family!

Check her out, Finally!

It was my fault that it took Paige so long to post her outdoor ed. pictures. She came home with 1 1/2 rolls of film, so we used the other half and I just hadn't taken it to get developed. But she did it and they are educational :) Take a look.

Momma what???

I know he has his eyes closed, but it's cute.

Seth started calling me Momma a while ago. The first time he called me that I thought it was just a mistake. But it continued. If he is yelling for me, or at me it is just MOM!!! So I will take Momma as a sign of affection. I see myself as mom or mommy, but not momma. Every time he says it I feel so hickish (is that a word?) Fetch me some milk Momma. I am happy with momma for now, I am sure he will call me a lot of other things as he gets older, so I can't complain. I love you Sethy!

6 inches

Before, and.....
After!!!
and after!!!

6 inches is how much Paige wanted cut off her hair. It was getting so long that she had a hard time brushing the ends herself. She got home from outdoor ed. and wanted to cut it the next day. She really wanted to do it Saturday morning before Seth's 10am baseball game. Uh, No! I told her she needed to sleep in and relax and that we could do it after. So we did! I think it is so cute! What do you think?

Welcome Home!

Paige and Morgan
Paige, Ellen, Anna and Katie

She survived! She was starving and dirty and tired when she got home, but she made it! I will let her tell about it on her blog when she gets the pictures back (I had her take a 35mm camera just in case). It sounded like long days and short nights, and then pass them back to their parents. Thanks a lot. It will take a few days to fully recover. We are so excited to have her back with us at home!!!

Come home Paige!!!

Paige with her friend Anna
Happy getting on the bus
Good-bye

Well, it's the fourth night and day Paige has been gone. The Fifth graders go to outdoor education for the whole week. (aka Biggest Loser Campus from previous post) We have been thinking about it for the past 2 years. In third grade she said there was no way she would go to Outdoor ed. when she was in fifth grade. In fourth grade she entertained the idea and it sounded kind of fun, except the food. This year there was never any talk that she wasn't going and she was excited to go. Well, after years of putting it off, I had to deal with it head on this week. The main issue of food was solved when the health nurse told us she could bring some extra food to keep in the kitchen when she needed it. So off she went Monday morning on the bus. While she waved happily from the window, I was excited for her. We sent letters every day and yes, I did drive onto the grounds one day just to check up on them. They were way across the field playing fun games and it was just reassuring to see the kids from afar. (It's only 2 miles away, I'm not that psycho mom) We have missed her greatly and can't wait to hear of her wonderful adventures at outdoor ed. She will be very tired and hungry I'm sure, but hopefully she made memories to last a lifetime. She took a camera, so she will be blogging all about it when she gets home! I can't wait until Friday at 12:30pm!!!

Fond Farewell

We were so grateful to be able to go to Utah for my grandpa Brodine's farewell gathering. It was such a nice weekend (minus the first night it snowed) and it was fun to see everyone and let the cousins play together. Thanks for having us Mom and Dad!
