Finally, a family photo

My sister in law Angi has a nice camera and wanted to practice taking photos for a class. I jumped in and asked her to take a family picture of us. The hard part was getting the rest of the family to agree. It was last minute, so no coordinating outfits with cute hair, Paige had just taken a shower, and Matt had a hat on. Oh, well. We have a picture together, that's what counts!

Gwen, Michele, Becky and Michael

This was taken during a girls weekend to Las Vegas, maybe 4 yrs ago? We were waiting to eat at Cheesecake Factory in Caesar's Palace and there was a lot of commotion in the Virgin Record store next door, so we asked the hostess what was going on. She told us that Michael Jackson was in there and they close the doors and whoever is in the store is locked in with him, and she proceeded to tell us that after he would go into Niketown next door and same protocol would be followed. So being the person that Becky is, far left in photo, oops I mean right :), she went and ran into Niketown before he did so she could get herself locked in :) This was the photo Becky got with Michael, she even talked to his son. That is my claim to fame for the King of Pop!

Sophie is 7 months

Sophie Graduates!
The dogs in her class loved her, but she wasn't so sure.
Why do you do this to me?
The battle scar.

We love our Sophie. I just realized that today is her 7 mo. bday. Here are some fun pictures of her and some not so fun. We had her spade at the end of May and had a hard time keeping her away from the staples all the way up her stomach. We tried the cone, but she gave up licking and started scratching with her hind leg. This led to going back to the vet the next day to have more staples put in. Finally someone told us about putting a onsie on her. It did the trick even though I felt like I had to explain to anyone I saw that I really don't dress up my dog. She is healed and we are back to a clothes free Sophie!
Oh, and she graduated from puppy school! Yay!

Seth's end of year fun

Open house, 2 Seths

Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk

Tiger of the Month

I am so far behind with blogging I am going to try and play catch up this week with pictures and a few words.

Seth finished First grade this past week. He had the best teacher and a lot of friends in his class. It will be hard to live up to that next year. He had open house, his Jack and the Beanstalk play, and end of the year festivities. Oh, I almost forgot, he was the tiger of the month for May for being trustworthy! What a great way to finish off a great year! Look out 2nd grade!

Too much Flapjack!

Getting out of the car for school yesterday Seth said: "If danger was a beautiful woman, I would marry her!"
me: "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
seth: "If danger was a beautiful woman, I would marry her." the voice with it helps.

I started laughing and asked why he said it. "Flapjack!", he said. I wasn't a big fan before this, and this didn't help.

TAN festival

Paige in her Sari
Presenting her info at the festival

Fun at the Festival
Paige has been preparing long and hard for the TAN festival. TAN stands for Then And Now (ancient and modern). They had to pick a partner and a country that they had studied this year and gather info and do projects to share with the whole 6th grade and parents. She and her partner, oops forgot to take a pic of them together, worked for over a month to make a time line, ancient and modern day flags, travel brochures, a mini taj mahal, and costumes. It was fun to see all their hard work along with all of the other kids. Great job girls!!
