11 years and 62 inches later

One of my favorite baby photos of Paige

I feel like I just did this post, but a year has passed and Paige is turning 11. Once again, I feel old. She is so fun to have in our family and we love her so much. We have toned down the partying this year to 2 hours at the local gymnastic gym. Mom's have even asked me "Is that it?" YES. It should be a fun day with BJ's for dinner and of course a pizookie for dessert. And then the partying will be Saturday! lots of pictures to come! and video if I can figure it out!

Dodgers, literally #1

Manny Ramirez, 2 home runs!!
Need I say more? We had such a great time at our 2nd annual Dodger game. They played the SF Giants and made the game really fun to watch with home runs, Manny, and Nomar Garciapara making an appearance at bat! We did it in style. We sat behind home plate, had popcorn, pretzels, drinks, ice cream, foam fingers, flags and banners! Everyone should go to a Dodger game with Matt! We couldn't pull Paige away after the 7th inning stretch, she wanted to stay to see if the Dodgers could keep their lead. We loved it and are excited they are #1. Go Dodgers!

Seeing is Believing

Mike and Lindsey
Sara, Gwen and Kym
Philly Friends!

Matt's old mission companion, roommate (when we were dating),and Philly graduate school friend got married yesterday. We were so excited when he called in July to tell us he was engaged. We made sure we cleared our schedule to see this event in person. We even got to see people from BYU days and friends from UPenn days. We had a great time. Plus it was in San Diego!

Big Thank You

Thanks to everyone who helped with Paige's magazine drive. She made her goal of 25 orders and we will all be reading our new magazine's in a month or so!

Magazine Mania

Ok, I am going to hit everyone up for this school fundraiser. I know some of your kids do the magazine drive too, so you can get off easy, but for those of you who don't, Paige is the one to order or reorder from. She is very excited about the schools only fundraiser, I like that too (not hitting us up every month with some crazy fundraiser)! And in the past the freebies they win are always some junky toy, but not so with this one. If Paige can get 25 orders or renewals to turn in this Wednesday she will win a limo ride to Universal City Walk for lunch with one of her friends. WHAT??!! I know! that is a fun prize, maybe I can be her "friend"! So, calling all magazine readers or people who need to renew, now is the time and Paige is your person. You can check out the more than 800 titles on QSP.com, and yes they have "Family Handyman". I never knew this existed until I called my very crafty friend to ask her, and she said "oh, I need to renew my Family Handyman"! Check it out online. Ok, I'm done selling my/Paige's cause!

THANK YOU!!

ps-call us by Tuesday, and I think the easiest way is for us to do it all for you and then have you send us the $.

School Starts!

We had a fun but crazy summer. Sickness, vacation, sickness, vacation, sickness, broken arm, and more sickness. We were all ready for school to start again. Paige registered for Middle School last week and was excited and nervous. We got her schedule and mapped out her classes, and she felt good about it. Monday night I went to Seth's school to find out his teacher and have back to school night. He got the teacher he wanted and his 2 best friends in his class. We couldn't ask for more.

We took Seth first at 8am and walked him to his line (everybody meets on the playground with their class for announcements and pledge of allegiance) we walked him to class and got him situated and then he told us "Tomorrow I want you to just do the drop off!" (you drive up and drop them off at the curb and they go to their line by themselves) Me: UH, no. I want to make sure everything is okay. Seth: Then Friday! He was very adamant. I'm sure come Tuesday he will demand to be dropped off!

Paige was nervous and didn't want me to take any pictures from the car as I dropped her off. The 6th graders were meeting at the gym for an orientation the first hour and she found a friend standing out front. As I pulled away I saw 2 of her friends parents walking their kids up, so I parked and went to make sure everything was okay :) I even got them all to pose for a picture! I don't think I embarrassed her too much. She really liked the first 3 days and I think she is excited for a fun year!

I am looking forward to getting back into a routine, I think we all are!
